Our client, a community-focused Government administrative body is currently undertaking a greenfield, cyber security uplift program, as part of a broader organisation-wide technology transformation.

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the Cyber Awareness Lead is responsible for the organisation’s security awareness and education as part of the cyber security uplift program. The goal of this program is to ensure that all staff members and stakeholders are aware of security risks and are informed and trained as appropriate in managing those risks effectively.

With support of the broader Cyber Security and program team members, this position will manage a set of activities ranging from communications, drafting content, coordinating internal and/or third party specialised training, organising internal awareness events and assisting with other cyber initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security awareness and education program for employees, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to effectively communicate the organisation's commitment to cyber security and risk. This would include integration of cyber security awareness into onboarding and ongoing employee training programs.
• Keeping informed with regards to the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies – conducting regular assessments and reports relating to the effectiveness of the cyber security education program
• Support broader technology and program/project team members in delivering key security-related initiatives.
